The future of Helsinki Education Hub 

Helsinki Education Hub is a project funded by the City of Helsinki’s Innovation Fund for the duration of 2020-2023. The targets of the project are supporting the growth of EdTech startups, development and internationalization of an EdTech testbed, and facilitating and interconnecting the industry ecosystem. 

Since its’ launch, the project has worked with over 200 startups, supported five batches in the Incubator program, collaborated with hundreds of teachers and learners, attracted international learning talents from all over the world, and served as a center and meeting point, helping the EdTech community in Finland grow into a vibrant and diverse group of ambitious startups. The recently published impact report notes, that the impact of Helsinki Education Hub and its’ services on early-stage EdTech startups, the community, and the EdTech ecosystem in Helsinki has been significant.  

The initial funding of the project is set to end by 31.12.2023. All of the Helsinki Education Hub’s current services will come to a halt from that date onwards. The co-working space will close on 15.12.2023. We want to thank all community members, stakeholders and partners, colleagues, friends and relevant people for the past years. Helsinki Education Hub is a project created and collaborated by all involved parties, and we can look back at what we have established with pride. A farewell-coffee will be organized on 15.12.2023 at 14:00 and we warmly welcome everyone who has worked with us to join and get together. 

Going forward, news and updates about the new project will be published on the Business Helsinki -channels. An application for new funding has been written together with the University of Helsinki and the city’s Education Division and we will inform the public about further developments as soon as possible.
