EdTech Incubator Helsinki is the first business incubator program in Finland focused on supporting young growth companies in the field of education technology. The application period for the program is once again open.

Ten early-stage teams showing the most potential will be selected for the Incubator program. The city’s experts will help to fine-tune the business ideas of the teams selected for the program and work together with the teams to turn them in to commercialisable, scalable and international business concepts.

EdTech Incubator Helsinki is an 20-week program that focuses on the sales and marketing of companies, financing, building a team and network and enhancing pedagogical impact. You can apply for the Incubator program by 5 June 2022.

Helsinki embodies the same level of expertise and support for companies as Silicon Valley, but here everything is so much more personal,” says Yazeed Maswadeh, the founder of Beesh and EdTech Incubator Helsinki participant.

Some concrete examples of achievements the Incubator teams have highlighted after the program:

  • Founding the company
  • Finding a Co-founder
  • Building a business- and product plan
  • Building a Pitch Deck
  • Elevating the pedagogical impact of the solution

The EdTech Incubator Helsinki program includes workshops, mentoring, speeches by experts in the field and strong network support. The teams have the opportunity to co-create their products and solutions together with learners and pedagogical experts as part of the Helsinki Education Hub’s Testbed services. All work will be aimed at optimizing the business plan and success.

At the end of the program, the participants will have the opportunity to pitch their innovation in front of key influencers and investors in the field. Additionally, the participating teams have the chance to access the inspiring co-working spaces and the opportunities of a vast EdTech-network in the city center of Helsinki.
