What: Helsinki Education Hub offers dynamic business advancement services for EdTech startups from incubation to market entry. We are inititating our market entry -services by facilitating know-how for accessing emerging markets.

The aim of this event is to highlight the key players and their services and to discuss different market entry requirements. We concentrate on the potential financial instruments going forward with exporting EdTech and learning how to build EdTech solutions for new markets. We will also hear a success story from a company successfully entering emerging markets.

The event will be moderated by Jani Moliis from JBJ Foundation.

The keynote speech will be given by Dr Paul Atherton, economist turned education specialist, previous education investor in Rwanda and currently working at Fab Inc. – an enterprise started by like-minded international development specialists who aspire to be leading providers of knowledge and analytical tools to help improve learning for all children.

Further expertise on different systems of support for exporting EdTech will be shared by Nikke Karjalainen, Senior Programme Officer at Finnpartnership. Finnpartnership is a business partnership programme that aims to generate positive development impacts by promoting business between Finland and developing countries. Their main services are business support and matchmaking, but they also possess a vast international network.

Hands-on insight about what works and what doesn’t when exporting your solution will be given by Karl Sorri from Funzi – a successfull Finnish EdTech company focused on supporting accesible-, lifelong-, and mobile learning.
